One of my favorite things about weddings are the details. The details are what make your wedding "yours". One of the best ways to achieve this, is incorporating DIY projects and meaningful reasons for why & what you choose. Bjorn and Brittany accomplished this 100%! Brittany & Bjorn knew what they wanted; very earthy, natural, and laid back. Everything was DIY & custom made. Including her wedding dress! We are HUGE fans of backyard wedding celebrations! Both their ceremony & reception were held on Brittany's family farm in Iowa. The vibes at these kinds of weddings are just our style; Joyously happy, organically beautiful, and truly meaningful. It's hard to top sentimental value! Another wonderful thing about family farms in Iowa...awesome photo ops in gorgeous soybean fields at sunset. : ) Congrats Bjorn & Brittany! We've fallen in love with Alex and Blayne! They are one of those couples who we had an instant connection with. The first time I chatted on the phone with Blayne, I just knew! And, after we spent an evening photographing their e-session, we knew they were kind of people we could sit, chat, and have drinks with. We love them! Every aspect of this gorgeous affair was thoughtfully planned. There wasn't a moment without that "WOW" factor, not a corner without a beautiful detail, nothing was over looked and not a minute went by without pure happiness from everyone!

Some of my favorite highlights: Reception in a true South Dakota Barn, 2 dresses for the big affair, a gondola ride with a gondolier, their thoughtfully practiced, adorable 1st dance, the contagious laughter, smiles, & love by all, and the overall gorgeous simplicity of the affair!
