Finally! Andee and John! I remember the first time meeting this fancy couple. We decided to meet for coffee on a Friday evening. Within moments of actually meeting Andee & John, her bubbly charm and their quirky personalities had me smitten! We spent the next hour and a half gushing over details, their visions for a perfect wedding, their love for all things "vintage", antique shops, etsy, and all their DIY projects they had in mind. Their style is SO my style (well, minus the DIY part. Let's be real...I love DIY...but mainly for someone else to DIY for me). The actual wedding day was dead of summer, 91 degrees, 100% humidity, outdoor ceremony, outdoor reception under a tent, and deodorant was pointless. We loved every minute of it! The endless amounts of details made us feel like we were kids in a candy store. We couldn't stop taking pictures! 10 vintage cakes, 1 kool-aid man groomsman cake, homemade salsa, cherries, pickles, and jam as favors-stuffed in vintage luggage, DIY vintage cake stands, a lemonade stand, a hard lemonade stand, eclectic vases, mason jars, galvanized buckets, a wiener dog named Mildred, a life size canoe to hold drinks, really...on and on and on.
It was just plain awesome spending the day in little Hull, Iowa. The entire Smit & Boerigter family are kind and warm people. We truly felt like family enjoying the day with them! Happy to have made new friends but sad the festivities are over. :(
xoxo,
Val
