Meet Macie - Senior Portraits, South Dakota

Meet Macie of Garretson, South Dakota.  She is one of our super fun and adorable JSP Senior Rep Models this year.  Here are a few fun facts about Macie: 1). Favorite Food: My favorite food would have to be spaghetti, I love Italian food. 2).Fun, little fact about you: Fashion is my passion! I love to shop and find unique and trendy items. I love it even more when I can find a good deal. 3).Favorite thing in your closet: Summer is my favorite season, I have tons of sundresses. So, it would be hard to pick just one item, if I had to it would be my blue striped sundresses with the sweetheart neckline. 4). College/Career Dream: I am still undecided on where I will go to college, but would like to pursue a degree in digital animation. 5).Summer Plans: This summer I plan on working at Palisades Oil and preparing for my Senior year. 6). Why you love JSP: Jeff Sampson Photography has a very unique and fresh approach. I have a ton of fun with them and they make me feel very comfortable. 7). One thing you couldn't live without: I couldn't live without my family! They are truly amazing and I am very thankful for them.

LLL - {Spring Styled Bridal Couture Shoot}

Meet LLL aka Lindsay Lou Laufmann...one of my besties from college!  We met freshman year at South Dakota State University (Go Jacks!), 4th floor, Brown Hall!  I am so fortunate for a whole decade of great memories with this pretty lady (let's not waste time here doing the math on our ages). The countdown to Lindsay's wedding is on!  April 30th can't come soon enough! (Kate Middleton...you've got some competition) Last week, Lind's had an appointment to get her wedding hair-do practiced, her final dress fitting was the same day, her bridal bouquet was put together, ready to pick up and so we took advantage of the lovely weather and herself all dolled up on a random Wednesday to do a quick Spring/Bridal/Styled shoot.  I suggest this kind of shoot to any bride!

Lindsay's wedding decor incorporates truly vintage elements.  We are talking old hand sewn doily's courtesy of Grandma, over a hundred hand picked mismatched jars/vases/bottles from antique stores around the area, silver serving trays, brooches, etc. These details incorporated with her wedding colors Pink & Purple, her peony flowers, and the Spring season makes everything feel so romantic & pretty. Last but not least....we were lucky enough to borrow "April" the one year old bunny from The Sioux Falls Humane Society!  She was so sweet and SO soft!

Unfortunately, since we still have 26 days left to go and Mark (the lucky groom) cannot see THE dress yet...we will have to wait to post those lovelies later...but for now...you can check these out:

Spring Bridal Session

**FINAL NOTE**:  April, the bunny, is one of hundreds....hundreds....of cute, sweet, furry, loving homeless animals at the Sioux Falls Humane Society.  : (  Just 2 weeks ago they had over 80 animals dropped off in a 4 day period.  : (  As the owner of 2 adopted hound boys from the Humane Society (Simon & Jake....they are my mini boo boo babies...who have there own Facebook profiles...and I couldn't imagine sleeping without) I'm asking everyone and anyone looking to adopt or foster to stop down at The Sioux Falls Humane Society to at least consider taking one home!  Take one trip down the aisles and I'm not sure how anyone could leave empty handed.   http://www.sfhumanesociety.com/

XOXO,

Val
